Supplier Training: Responding to Travel Management Tenders (RFP's)
ITM has launched a revised Supplier Training programme for 2009. The programme takes into account the need for more tailored one day courses and in these "credit crunch" times has trimmed training costs with courses starting at £195 through to £249 plus VAT.
Aim: learn how to apply a strategic approach to the tender process so that every sales opportunity is maximised and success rates increased.
Learning objectives: After the course participants will be able to -
• Identify the tenders to which they wish to respond
• Initiate and maintain successful relationships
• Create effective stakeholder communication plans
• Ask the right questions to clarify and qualify the tender
• Draft a relevant and appropriate response
• Use clear, uncomplicated written English
• Recognise the importance of planning for the follow up
Content: Participants will receive interactive presentations around client relationship management and communication. A simple structure is used to identify the steps in the tendering process. Participants have the opportunity to review their existing key accounts and recent pitches to identify where improvements can be made.
Participants will learn what Travel buyers look for in a tender response as well as what turns them off. Feedback is provided from recent interviews with Travel buyers representing various industry sectors.
