ITM CALLS FOR NEW BOARD DIRECTORS
Can you contribute to the UK & Ireland's professional association?
The Board of the Institute of Travel & Meetings would like to call upon members for nominations for a number of board director positions for a period of 2 years. ITM has four buyer vacancies and one supplier vacancy. (Unfortunately, there are no Industry Practitioner member vacancies as the board quota is full at present). Representing your association at board level is both a rewarding and challenging role, with past board members acknowledging what a great developmental opportunity this kind of voluntary role can be.
Supplier Director Vacancy
ITM is looking for a single supplier director from the ITM membership to serve on the board. They can be from any sector, but the association's Board of Directors' Interview Panel would especially like to see representatives from the TMC or HBA sector and from the aviation and hotel sectors. This is to ensure a good spread of sectors is represented across the board to provide balance in our industry perspective.
Buyer Director Vacancies
ITM is looking for four new Buyer Directors from the ITM membership to serve on the board. Buyers can be from any shape or size of organisation, provided that they qualify for ITM buyer membership, but ITM would like to seek a good cross-section of buyer directors from SMEs, government and/or NGOs, large corporations and meeting & event buyers.
The Role
Successful applicants will be required to attend all board meetings (currently 6 per year), chair an ITM working party and/or take on another representative role within the board's remit.

Interviews will be undertaken by an ITM board of directors panel and announcement made within 14 days of interview.
