Your Basket ITM Products For the purposes of this policy "ITM" refers to ITM, ITM Research, ITM Recruitment, ITMSA and any other ITM subgroup such as Phoenix or Icarus.
ITM has the greatest respect for the privacy of our members and visitors to our web site and fully adheres to UK data protection legislation.
Most data ITM collects is used only to help better serve our members. It is our policy to collect and store only personal information that members knowingly provide. If our privacy policies change, we will notify all members by e-mail or a special announcement placed on the Web site.
Whilst ITM collects personal and company information provided by members, public users browsing our web site will only submit PC connect information which ITM will only use in aggregate form - i.e. the number of hits per page. Aggregate data is only used for internal purposes and does not provide any personally identifying information.
The personal and company information collected from registered members will only be used to verify members' status and therafter-to access members-only resources and personalisation features on the website. Members are asked to register and provide some limited information, however the preovision of this information is at members' individual discretion.
ITM collects names, organisation name, business telephone number, e-mail address and some additional information relating to the member category, organisation type, company travel expenditure and services provided. ITM only uses this information to enhance its products and distribution of those products to its members. Limited contact information is also used to create the member's listing in the annual directory and members' listings area of the site.
The personal and company information collected from members is only presented to outside parties in the circumstances laid out below.
Disclosures to Third Parties
1. ITM makes member contact information available through the printed and online versions of the ITM members directory. Conference registration details are shared with some conference sponsors.
2. ITM makes members' name and company details available from time to time on a one-off basis to non-members and potential sponsors to demonstrate the quality of membership.
3. ITM does make some member details, such as name and website username/password available to specific ITM partners - where access to a third party is required to provide ITM services. Presently, these partners include, but may not be limited to:
- Gail Kenny Executive Search - for the purposes of ITM Recruitment vacancy distribution
- Argate - for the purposes of distributing and collating research data.
- Advito – for the purposes of ITM Resources distribution
- NBTA/GBTA – for the purposes of providing NBTA/GBTA Europe Updates and membership
- Media partners such as the Business Travel Show for the de-duplication of databases when sending out promotional material.
These third parties are contracted on the strict understanding that ALL data provided by ITM is restricted to use for the purposes laid out in any agreement and for those purposes only.
4. ITM presents third party supplier information to ITM members using the information provided. In cases where a mailing or other communication is undertaken to ITM members, data is not released directly to the third party supplier, but to a bona fide mailing house bound by the provisions of the Direct Marketing Association code of conduct.
Credit Card Account Information
ITM does not disclose credit card account information provided by its members and customers. When members and customers choose to pay using their credit cards, ITM submits the information needed to obtain payment to the appropriate clearinghouse.
