Working Groups

ITM operates through regional committees and a series of central industry working parties. Each working party has a specific remit and contributes to the development of ITM's future strategy.

Regional Committees

Remit: To maintain contact with members on a regional basis and provide opportunities for networking through social and charity events

Member Engagement and Benefits

Remit: To create and co-ordinate new services and products for ITM members and to ensure effective member communication.

Industry Affairs Working Party

Remit: To represent the interests of the buyer membership by engaging and lobbying legislative bodies in the UK and Ireland, EU and beyond.

Research Working Party

Remit: To develop and implement a research programme encompassing surveys and interviews on key industry issues to provide members with information for benchmarking and development.

Education Working Party

Remit: To develop a joint business travel degree, review the Professional Certificate programme, seminars, workshops and regional events to provide a comprehensive and varied programme for all levels of expertise.

Industry Solutions Group

Remit: To develop reasoning and solutions to specific key industry issues identified through research and education. In 2007, the remit of the ISG was to look at solutions for increasing SBT adoption. In 2006, the ISG looked at solutions for the disparity in managed travel programmes and compliance.

Industry Liaison Working Party

Remit: To liaise with industry professionals on key industry issues in a broad range of sectors and provide a quarterly report to other ITM working parties to drive educational & research content.
