University of Brighton event for Travel Professionals of the Future in association with the Institute of Travel and Meetings (ITM)
The University of Brighton in partnership with ITM are holding an event for the travel professionals of tomorrow. ITM accredits the International Travel Management BA (Hons) at the university where students are able to follow a specific business travel route.
Careers Day, 31st January
The careers day will be taking place on 31st January 2012 at Brighton University. This event is for sixth form students who could be looking to study travel at university.
The aim of the event is to provide students about the careers that are available to them in this field and why they should choose this industry.
There will also be three presentations for students about a career in the travel and business travel industries. These presentations will be on the following topics:
- Airline: ‘The Contemporary Customer - Leisure vs Business'
- Corporate: ‘Travel and the BBC'
- Meetings and Events: ‘Organising an event - challenges and issues'

10.30-12.00: Meet for optional tour of AMEX stadium
12.00-12.45: Lunch break and registration
12.50 13.00: open presentations - ITM/University of Brighton
13.00 - 13.30: Jamie Hindhaugh, Head of Sourcing - BBC
13.30- 14.00: Meetings and conferencing organisation - Sales and marketing
14.00 - 14.15: Break and quiz (Refreshments)
14.15 - 14.45: Airline - Customer service and the contemporary traveller
14.45: Close ITM / University of Brighton
