ITM Announces 2012 Conference Plans

Updated: 29-11-2011

The 2012 ITM Annual Conference is to take place Monday 21st May - Wednesday 23rd May at the Palace Hotel, Manchester.

Themed ‘Intelligence 2012' - ITM promises a conference packed with new and inspiring speakers, topics to stimulate debate and a raft of workshops tailored to provide practical tools and useful resources that delegates can take away and use in their businesses.

"Since launching the new membership programme we have almost doubled the number of ITM members and for many buyers this will be their first conference. We plan to make sure that everyone takes home great value from the conference and that we continue the tradition of providing intimate and engaging networking for senior professionals in the travel and meetings industry", commented Jamie Hindhaugh, ITM Chairman.

Plans include an ‘Innoventions Lab', ‘Directors' Round-Table', ‘The Lecture Theatre' and ‘The Debate Room' including an interactive interview session ‘In The Hot Seat'.

ITM's new CEO Simone Buckley said, "Feedback from buyers and suppliers has been for more interaction so we have devised interesting session formats to keep everyone engaged and involved throughout the two days. Content is key to our attendees and we are focussed on putting together a programme that covers the latest topics and trends in our industry."

In traditional ITM style, industry colleagues can join together on the first night for a relaxed networking event in the private ITM 'Irish Pub' where delegates can show off their 'Intelligence' in the ITM Pub Quiz. A more refined evening is planned for Tuesday night to celebrate the Chairman's handover at the Chairman's Reception and Black Tie Ball.

Registration opens 15th December 2011 - look out for further details.
