REYNOLDS REPLACED BY CUSCHIERI AS INDUSTRY AFFAIRS LEADER FOR ITM
Buyer Led Activity Focuses on UK Legislative Impact
The Institute of Travel & Meetings (ITM) UK & Ireland has today announced that Chris Reynolds, 3Sixtysourcing, has stepped down from his role as ITM's head of Industry Affairs as he leaves the ITM board. ITM Buyer Director, Mark Cuschieri, EMEA Travel Manager for UBS, has taken up the role with immediate effect and will be focusing on the impact of UK legislation on travel programmes whilst ITM engages with Europe through industry affairs activity undertaken by NBTA Europe, the recently launched NBTA network powered by ITM.
Speaking about his new role, Mr Cuschieri said, "I have a great passion for engaging with the big issues and at UBS we have always sought to monitor and get involved in legislative changes which are likely to impact our programme. The ITM Industry Affairs role is a natural extension of that and I look forward to representing the interests of ITM buyers in any forthcoming UK issues."
Mr Reynolds, who will still play a supporting role in the Industry Affairs activity of ITM, said, "It has been an incredibly rewarding role to play and I have enjoyed it immensely. To be able to directly impact buyers, as in the case of the BA/Virgin Fuel Surcharge issues, is a real added value which no-one other than ITM is in a position to achieve for the travel and meetings buying community. We achieve a great deal without any major investment and there's so much more we can do."
