NEW EXECUTIVE TEAM FOR ITM - Deamer & Steed on board

The Institute of Travel Management UK & Ireland (ITM) has appointed Anne Deamer to the newly-created post of General Manager and Diane Steed as Head of Sales and Marketing to create a new senior team reporting to Executive Director Paul Tilstone.

Anne Deamer joins ITM with over 30 years industry experience with ATOC, Virgin Trains, British Airways and most recently as General Manager for Air Jamaica. Her remit will include a review of the association's education and training programmes, and developing the ITM Academy concept initiated by ITM Chairman Caroline Strachan, which will create a business travel management degree with key universities. "The opportunity to work with travel management's leading association is one I could not overlook" Anne Deamer said. " it's great to be joining ITM at such an interesting time and I look forward to contributing to the industry."

As Head of Sales & Marketing, Diane Steed brings a further 21 years experience in travel management with American Express, Continental Airlines, and most recently EOS Airlines. Steed takes up a newly-expanded role after the departure of Mark Harris to focus on his own business. Diane commented "I'm very excited to take up such a varied post with ITM and look forward to building on the successful marketing platform Mark has created." Steed will be developing the marketing opportunities within ITM and managing relationships with the association's partners.

The two appointments were made following a detailed process undertaken by ITM Recruitment, the association's recruitment service, and both take up their posts on the 5th September. In welcoming his two new colleagues Paul Tilstone said "Caroline Strachan and I were delighted by the sheer quality of candidates who came forward for these two positions, it demonstrated to us the success we have achieved at the association to date and the interest in working for ITM. I cannot understate the importance of these two positions to the association. Both individuals will make a huge difference and I know the industry will make them feel at home very quickly."
