HARRIS LEAVES ITM - ASSOCIATION SEARCHES FOR SUCCESSOR

ITM has announced that Mark Harris, Head of Marketing and Communications at ITM since 2002, is leaving the organisation in September to develop his outside business interests through his own company, TIN. However it is hoped that he will maintain some link with the organisation to which he has contributed so much over the years.

Mark's departure comes at a time when ITM is interviewing for management roles to bolster the executive team for future growth. This latest development allows ITM to consider a restructure of the management format whilst retaining Mark's expertise on an outsourced basis.

Paul Tilstone, ITM Executive Director said " We are very grateful to the dedication Mark has shown to the role and organisation. The industry award presented in 2006 of Personality of the Year says it all really. He has helped to shape the organisation and in particular the annual conference, our jewel in the crown, but we recognise that the growth of his own business and the success of ITM have combined to ensure that he cannot continue to do both at the level he would like. Ideally we would like to utilise his services on an outsourced basis whilst we look for new talent to undertake ITM's sales and marketing role alongside our new GM position."

Mark Harris confirmed that the decision to leave had been a difficult one "I've enjoyed my time with ITM enormously, and am very proud of the strides we have taken. However I felt that the time had come to move on. Hopefully I'll remain involved with ITM, and look forward to watching the association going from strength to strength."
