ITM Events

ITM’s educational events usually take place during business hours, take the form of two day conferences, half, three-quarter or full day Forums, and web-meetings and take place in and around the UK.

There are five categories of ITM educational events, each attended by up to 500 attendees, with equal ratios of buyers to suppliers being encouraged.

Each event is designed to provide business travel procurement professionals with case studies, best practice guides and benchmarking tools.

Annual Conference

ITM's once a year annual conference takes place in the spring at a different location in one of the association's seven regions. Click here to find out why you should attend the 2010 Conference at Chelsea FC.

Focus Forums

Focus Forums are one day events dedicated to a single topic, and comprises buyer case studies, panel sessions and audience Q&A on different facets of the central topic. These forums give delegates a chance to work in detail on key industry issues.

National Forums

National Forums are one day mini-conferences, each approaching four topics with a combination of buyer case studies, panel sessions and audience Q&A. and speaker panels. These forums give delegates the chance to discuss broad industry trends and issues with their peers.

Partnership Forums

ITM jointly hosts half and three-quarter day forums in partnership with other associations, each focusing on topics in common. These forums are designed to bring in additional expertise on peripheral content for ITM members.

Industry Circles

ITM undertakes up to 6 virtual events per annum allowing delegates to participate in educational events without the need to leave your desk. Sessions focus on a single subject and normally comprise a keynote presenter with group discussion and Q&A afterwards.

ITM's Focus, National and Partnership Forums are available to all ITM members free of charge, although there is a cancellation charge for no shows. Non-members may also attend these events, subject to availability, at the following rates. The annual conference and the Industry Circles are for members only but both carry a charge - prices upon application.

Here's what our members have to say:

"For a first timer, I gained so much from both the sessions and the networking. I felt so welcome partly due to the nature of the industry, but significantly felt at ease by the guidance ITM provided pre-conference. This was coupled with the First Timers' events, which worked really well, allowing us new comers to settle in before the main conference began. The ITM conference provides the catalyst for the real and virtual connectivity to happen both through its content and its networking opportunities. To "travel" effectively it is important that we capitalise and build strong relationships when we network so the virtual links work even better. Warmest Thanks" Paul Adderley, Sustainable Opportunity Solutions Limited

"The Traveller Security Workshop was a morning well spent, with lots of great, practical ideas for those of us without budget or influence to buy in complete cover offered by the large security providers". Jessica Beaton, Global Training Coordinator - AIRCOM International Ltd

"The return on investment in attending the ITM Focus Forum was worth its weight in GOLD to both my company and I would strongly encourage any member to take full advantage of these great educational opportunities and broaden their expertise by attending these invaluable forums". Jessica Turner, Senior Manager, Corporate Travel - International, EMC2
