ITM Education
ITM’s training and education programme has been established over many years and fulfills one of the association’s primary objectives – to provide education and training for members to better their companies and develop their own careers.
The education and training programme can essentially be split into four key areas:
- ITM Events - Daytime forums, annual conferences and web based events all provide updated knowledge to our members from experts in the industry, promoting best practice and helping suppliers to understand market needs better. These events carry no certification.
- ITM Professional Certificate Course - A distance learning based, nationally recognised qualification in travel management skills. This course is presently primarily aimed at the buyers and managers of travel rather than suppliers but will be reviewed in 2008. This course is certificated by ITM and Edexcel.
- "Introduction to Travel Management" Workshops - a set of four workshops run throughout the year covering topics from strategic management to policy and compliance. Attendees are limited to a maximum of 15 to encourage knowledge share. The courses are primarily aimed at the buyer community but are equally as useful to supplier staff. This course is certificated by ITM.
- ITM Supplier Training - A series of supplier training courses run by ITM in conjunction with T&T Training Solutions and M&G Training Solutions for suppliers from all sectors of the travel market. Courses run from introductory levels to advanced to cater for all levels of supplier. These courses are certified by ITM.
