Ian has been in the hospitality and events business for over 20 years. He started as a humble part time pot washer for THF where he acquired a taste for the industry. After qualifying (some years later) with a BSc Hons in Hotel Management he undertook sales roles in hotels and restaurants before joining what was IBR (now Zibrant in 2000). Ian spent 7 happy years at Zibrant in sales and account management leaving as Head of Sales to join De Vere in 2007. He is currently Director of Agency Sales responsible for the team managing De Vere's relationships with HBA's, TMC's and event management companies.
He is fascinated by social media and its applications in the business world and he hopes to use this enthusiasm and skill set in his role as regional liaison director for ITM.
