The Institute of Travel Management (ITM) has announced the winners of their Business Travel Achievement Awards for the corporate travel sector in Ireland. The event took place at The Westin Hotel in Dublin on 24 November, presented by Keith Duffy.
US carrier United has been named Best Airline of the year for 2016. An accolade bestowed for the second year running.
The Double Tree by Hilton won best hotel category. Portman Travel scooped the best TMC award for their strong approach to innovation, while RoomEx.com was lauded in the technology category for its focus on delivering value to customers.
Julie Nolan at HRG won best sales/account/project manager and Marie Luc from Eaton Industries won best travel manager, both achieving great success in highly competitive categories.
Simone Buckley, the ITM CEO, said: “These awards are an important platform for the corporate travel community in Ireland, to recognise excellence and professionalism in the industry”.
Olive Kavanagh, Chairman of ITM Ireland and Global Travel Lead at Kerry Group, commented: “We received a significant increase in nominations this year which I believe demonstrates the growing strength of these awards.
