As ITM continues to welcome new voices to its Board, we’re delighted to introduce Claudia Jackson from BCD Travel as one of the organisation’s newest Board Directors.

With a strong understanding of the evolving business travel landscape and a passion for collaboration across the industry, Claudia brings valuable insight and experience to the ITM community. We caught up with Claudia to learn more about what motivated her to join the Board and what she’s most looking forward to in the role.

What motivated you to join the ITM Board, and what excites you most about the opportunity?

The industry is at an inflection point. We're seeing rapid advances in technology, increasing content fragmentation, new market entrants and a new generation of travellers and employees changing expectations. I'm excited by the opportunity to help make sense of that change and to support ITM in its role as a trusted source of education, insight and collaboration for the industry.

What perspectives or experiences do you hope to bring to the Board and wider ITM community?

I sit at the intersection of travel manager engagement, supplier partnerships, traveller care and operational delivery, which gives me a broad view of how the industry is evolving in real time. I hope I can bring a practical and balanced perspective to the Board, while sharing knowledge and experiences that help support the collective future of our industry and the people working within it.

What do you see as the biggest opportunities for the business travel industry over the next few years?

Business travel, when managed well, drives economic growth, collaboration, innovation and wider societal value. Yet a significant proportion of business travel still sits outside managed programmes. One of the biggest opportunities for both the industry and organisations like ITM is to continue advocating for the value of managed travel, while helping programmes become more intelligent, connected and relevant for modern travellers and businesses.

What are you most looking forward to about working alongside the rest of the ITM Board?

I’ve always loved ITM’s collaborative spirit. The industry works best when people come together to share ideas, challenge thinking and support one another, particularly during periods of change. I’m looking forward to working alongside such an experienced and passionate group of people who all care deeply about the future of the industry.

What’s one thing you’d love ITM members to know about you outside of work?

I suffer from acrophobia, but I’m still keen to help drive ITM to new heights!

We’re thrilled to welcome Claudia to the ITM Board and look forward to the experience, perspective and enthusiasm she will bring to the ITM community.

Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we continue introducing the newest members of the ITM Board.
