ITM is proud to announce it will be supporting Teenage Cancer Trust at its Conference Gala Dinner on 3 May in Aviemore.
Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer aged between 13-24. They fund and build specialist units within the NHS hospitals to bring young people together and give them the best possible care. Almost half of young people with cancer are not treated in Teenage Cancer Trust units, so the charity is building a wider Nursing & Support Service within the NHS to help all young people, wherever they receive treatment.
ITM members attending the conference in May 2018 will be able to experience a fundraising spectacular where every delegate will be involved. There will be lots of fun, entertainment and prizes – all in aid of this worthwhile cause.
In the lead up to the ITM Conference, the board, members and secretariat team will be demonstrating their commitment to the charity by “getting wiggy with it”, wearing wigs to help raise awareness on social media (see photo). Send in your photos to email@example.com or tag @itmcares on your Facebook posts.
Scott Davies, ITM CEO says, “We’re delighted to be supporting Teenage Cancer Trust and we know that the ITM Community will get behind this great cause and help us make this our most successful conference fundraiser yet.”
ITM supports with a number of causes across the UK & Ireland and has raised a total of £25,000 in 2017. ITM’s relationship with charities often starts with it’s members, a cause close to their hearts, or a cause they have had first hand experience with. This is all part of the “ITM Cares” initiative for members to give back through fundraising, mentoring and volunteering.
