ITM Announces Renewed Partnership as Exclusive UK & Ireland Representative for GBTA in Europe

01 Mar 2022

ITM is delighted to announce the re-launch of its partnership with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), the world’s largest business travel and meetings trade organisation. The agreement means that ITM is the exclusive UK and Ireland business travel industry body representing the GBTA in UK & Ireland.

Headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area with operations across four continents. GBTA’s 9,000-plus members manage more than $345 billion of global business travel and meetings expenditures annually. GBTA delivers world-class education, events, research, advocacy and media to a growing global network of more than 28,000 travel professionals and 125,000 active contacts.

A key benefit of the partnership is that buyers, suppliers and industry practitioners with ITM’s ‘Business’ level membership receive complementary membership to the GBTA (worth up to $500). This gives ITM Business members access to GBTA’s library of business travel educational resources, as well as discounted delegate fees for GBTA events.

ITM will also work closely with GBTA to foster collaboration and regional support in the UK & Ireland, providing insight to help GBTA Europe address local market issues.  Additionally, GBTA Europe will support selected lTM events in the UK & Ireland through content and research.

Scott Davies, CEO, ITM said: “We are excited to re-launch ITM’s partnership with GBTA. Now, more than ever before, is the time to collaborate globally to support our business travel community. ITM is proud to be the representative for GBTA in the UK and Ireland, as the industry body that understands concerns, needs and challenges facing corporate buyers in this market. The UK is a major strategic market for business travel buyers as many global and EMEA travel managers are based here. Our membership base reflects this as many buyer members have not just domestic, but EMEA and global remits.

“Travel buyers and managers have a heavy ‘to-do’ list in 2022 with sustainability, supplier collaboration, traveller management and financial value all at the top as they manage their organisation’s return to travel across people, planet and profit. Our partnership with GBTA will give our members the opportunity to access valuable resources to help them achieve this.”

Catherine Logan, Regional VP EMEA GBTA added: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with ITM as the exclusive representative of the GBTA in the UK & Ireland. We have enjoyed a long and valued relationship with ITM and we look forward to collaborating further, to provide mutual support, educational resources, and advocacy in the new era of business travel post pandemic.”
