Winning Ways - First Ever ITM Achievement Awards Event is Huge Success

The inaugural ITM Achievement Awards was held on Friday 1^st July to celebrate excellence across the business travel community and to recognise mentees graduating from the ITM Mentoring Programme. The ceremony also served as an opportunity to acknowledge mentors for the invaluable time and contribution they have invested in working with their respective mentees. The 24-month Mentoring Programme provides mentees with unparalleled access to leading industry experts in a one-to-one environment to support their career development and personal growth.

Venue for the lunchtime ceremony was Leonardo Royal Hotel, London Tower Bridge where almost 200 business travel industry professionals, ITM members and board directors gathered for networking drinks in the Atrium Bar, followed by a three-course lunch in the Trinity & Goodmans Suite. Awards were announced and presented between each course. More networking drinks followed in the Atrium Bar.

The host for the awards ceremony was Connie McLaughlin, BBC radio and TV broadcaster, together with ITM CEO Scott Davies, and ITM Chair, Alison Rogan.

The atmosphere in the room was joyous and full of energy. It was a wonderful opportunity for the business travel community to come together in celebration after two years of very challenging times for the industry sector during the pandemic. Guests described the event as ‘fantastic’, ‘what an amazing acknowledgement of business travel industry talent’, ‘congratulations on organising such a special inaugural awards’, ‘what a lovely way to end the first half of the year’.

The decision has now been taken to make the ITM Achievement Awards an annual event.
