In a recent survey undertaken by ITM and Traveldoo, access to travel data and full transparency and visibility of all travel related costs, was listed as the top benefit following the implementation of an automated T&E solution.
Other benefits identified by UK Travel Managers included cost reductions, efficiency creation through the removal of manual and duplicate processes, and the ability to manage travel policies.
The white paper, launched this week, builds on last years’ paper “Joined up thinking: end–to-end travel and expense integration and beyond,” and focuses on the results; looking at organisations which have embraced this end-to-end approach, the lessons they learnt and the benefits they reaped as a result. The paper explores the steps needed to achieve operational excellence in a fully integrated end-to-end T&E environment.
The new study includes in-depth interviews with a range of travel professionals to capture first hand, their experience in using technology to drive their own business objectives. The results showed major benefits in four main areas – cost management, compliance and control, processing and CSR.
